STAR TREK 2

  • ABRAMS SET FOR STAR BUT RELEASE DATE TREK'S!!

It took a mighty long time, but finally director J.J. Abrams signed on to direct Star Trek 2. So just as we thought Star Trek 2 would finally pick up some steam, we have just found out that the release date for the film has been pushed back from June 2012.

Director J.J. Abrams
Deadline.com reports that the movie will most likely open in December of 2012, instead of on June 29, 2012, to allow for proper production time to develop the story, which, according to writer Roberto Orci, currently exists as a 70-page outline.

Sources say that people close to the production want to avoid rushing the film into a 13-month production schedule, operating solely from an outline, to meet a release date.
