| Gemma Arteton & Jeremy Renner star in Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters |
Paramount Pictures has rescheduled their Hansel &
Gretel: Witch Hunters from March 2nd of this year to January 11, 2013.
The film arrives from Dead Snow director Tommy Wirkola and
stars Jeremy Renner, Gemma Arterton and Famke Janssen. Set 15 years after the
Grimm's Fairy Tale sibling’s incident at the gingerbread house, the film finds
Hansel and Gretel working as bounty hunters, tracking down supernatural beings.
The film developers have said they hoping that general
audiences will be more familiar with Jeremy Renner after The Avengers, and
Bourne Legacy in which he stars in (even though general audiences have seen him
in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol as well as Hurt Locker). They have also stated the recent success of
The Devil Inside, which shows that January isn’t the dumping ground for
studios, lesser films (even though the success of The Devil Inside is consider
A fluke).
Well for what every reason seems like we will have to wait
another year before we get to see Gemma Arteton and Jeremy Renner kick some ass
in Hansel & Gretel.
