EXPENDABLES 3 (Cast News Shot Down)

Nic Cage
Remember yesterday when we reported that Nic Cage would be joining the Expendables 3, well don’t hatch chickens and count them… whatever you know what I’m saying!

Deadline spoke to Expendables main man Sylvester Stallone about the story, who said he "has no knowledge of Nic Cage joining Expendables 3." Apparently the whole bit about Cage (as well as Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes and Mickey Rourke possibly joining the film) came from the European press junket for Expendables 2… from last summer.

Well that doesn’t mean Cage will not be in Expendables 3, he might be, its just not official at this moment in time.

AMPED (In Early Development)

Working Title Films has picked up the rights to Daniel H. Wilson's best-selling novel Amped, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter

Published earlier this year, the sci-fi tale is officially described as follows:

Technology makes them superhuman. But mere mortals want them kept in their place. The New York Times bestselling author of 'Robopocalypse' creates a stunning, near-future world where technology and humanity clash in surprising ways. The result? The perfect summer blockbuster.

As he did in 'Robopocalypse', Daniel Wilson masterfully envisions a frightening near-future world. In Amped, people are implanted with a device that makes them capable of superhuman feats. The powerful technology has profound consequences for society, and soon a set of laws is passed that restricts the abilities -- and rights -- of "amplified" humans. On the day that the Supreme Court passes the first of these laws, twenty-nine-year-old Owen Gray joins the ranks of a new persecuted underclass known as "amps." Owen is forced to go on the run, desperate to reach an outpost in Oklahoma where, it is rumored, a group of the most enhanced amps may be about to change the world -- or destroy it.

Work on Amped is still in the very early stages, but Robopocalypse is set to hit the screen on April 25, 2014. Chris Hemsworth will headline with Ben Wishaw and Anne Hathaway also said to be in talks.

ARE WE OFFICIALLY DATING? (Cast News)

Imogen Poots
  • ARE WE OFFICIALLY DATING?

Imogen Poots has signed onto the cast of Are We Officially Dating? The actress will star opposite Zac Efron in the romantic comedy, Deadline reports.

The film follows three male friends in New York City who make a pledge to stay single just as each of them starts to fall in love.

Tom Gormican is directing from a script he wrote.

Imogen Poots has recently signed on to Need for Speed, she’s set to make an appearance in Terence Malik’s next film and she has also been in the running for role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Although it must be said, with her signing on to so many roles right now, she might not make it for Cap.

EXPENDABLES 3 (Cast News)

Following the worldwide box office success of The Expendables 2, Sylvester Stallone and his team are now moving forward on The Expendables 3, with Nicolas Cage joining the gang of action men, as first reported by JoBlo.
Nicolas Cage

Sly recently hit up his official Facebook page to say a few (not entirely comprehensible) words on the film:

"We are preparing the film with the same passion and commitment as the previous two. We have confirmed Nicolas Cage, a master actor who gives a veneer intellectual group. Hopefully we can realize to Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes and Mickey Rourke. That is the great mission of the producer. We will continue with the same narrative scheme, the agility and the frenzy, which are inherent to the saga. What will definitely be the last? I can not guarantee. In principle it would be two deliveries, but the affection of the people encouraged us to work on a third. I guess as long as we amused ourselves by offering fun and people, we can continue playing 'The Expendables'. For now we are not as expendable as it should and as some critics want."

Whether Sly will be able to get Ford, Rourke and Snipes onboard, remains to be seen. Chuck Norris on the other hand has previously reported will not be returning.

Liam Neeson any one??
