Riddick, the third film in David Twohy's series about the titular anti-hero, has found its female lead. Deadline reports that Katee Sackhoff has signed on for the part of Dahl, a Nordic mercenary on Riddick's tail.
The plot finds Riddick (Diesel) betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet where he fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.
Sackhoff is best known for her role on "Battlestar Galactica" and is also set to star in the upcoming Sexy Evil Genius.
Jordi Molla is also in talks to play the villain in the David Twohy film.
Molla would play Santana, a mercenary who heads up an eight-man crew tasked with finding and killing Riddick.
Molla's recent credits include Colombiana and Knight and Day.
