- MARVEL’S PHASE TWO
We got a quite a few updates from Marvel concerning some of
their properties. Stories ranging from a Phase Two Preview clip that you can
view below, to concept art and even a update on Avengers 2!

| Captain America vs Winter Soldier |
For the rest of us, Marvel has put a sample of the Phase Two
tease online, which features a sample of some new footage from the upcoming
Iron Man 3. Check it out below!
Phase Two kicks off this year with Iron Man 3 on May 3, Thor:
The Dark World on November 8, 2013, Captain America: The Winter Soldier on
April 4, 2014, Guardians of the Galaxy on August 1, 2014, and The Avengers 2 on
May 1, 2015.
Geek Zenith has uncovered 3 pieces of concept art which show
off the vastness and ambition that will encompass Guardians of the Galaxy as
well as one image Captain America taking on the The Winter Soldier aka Bucky.
The only cast member officially announced for Guardians of
the Galaxy are "Parks and Recreation" actor Chris Pratt as Peter
Quill, aka Star-Lord, and Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer. Guardians of the
Galaxy's roster also include Groot, Rocket Racoon and Gamora, however there
haven’t been any other casting confirmations at this point in time. The films
currently in pre-production in the UK, with director James Gunn at the helm,
and is targeting an August 1, 2014 release.
Captain America: The Winder Soldier is set to star Chris
Evans, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie
Smulders, Scarlett Johansson, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp, Hayley Atwell,
Maximiliano Hernández, Robert Redford and Georges St-Pierre. The story picks up
where Marvel's The Avengers left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his
role in the modern world. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Captain America:
The Winter Soldier hits theaters April 4, 2014.
The Avengers sequel is only a couple of years away; nonetheless
Marvel Studios have begun prepping to begin production. Screen Daily is
reporting that production for The Avengers 2 will take place at Pinewood-Shepperton
at the end of this year with filming expected to begin in early 2014. This
comes as no surprise, as it will be the third Marvel film in a row to use this
set up for its production.
Previously, Thor: The Dark World filmed in and around the
area and Guardians of the Galaxy is currently in production there.
Little is known about the upcoming sequel, but
writer-director Joss Whedon will be back and is currently working on the script
for the film. The cast for the film is currently unconfirmed, but it’s very
likely to again include Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark
Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson.
Marvel's The Avengers 2 will hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
