• COOPER VS GOSLING IN A PLACE BEYOND PINES

Bradley Cooper (The Hangover Part II) is set to star opposite Ryan Gosling in the crime drama The Place Beyond the Pines, reports Variety.

The film is about a motorcycle rider (Gosling) who, after having a child, begins robbing banks to support the baby. Cooper will play the part of a rookie cop who goes up against Gosling's character.

Derek Cianfrance (Blue Valentine) co-wrote the script with Ben Coccio. Cianfrance will direct the movie, financed and produced by Sidney Kimmel Entertainment.

Filming will start on July 25 in Schenectady, N.Y.
