"Spartacus: War of the Damned" star Liam McIntyre
has signed on to play an army captain in Renny Harlin's upcoming action
project, Hercules 3D (Not to be confused with Hercules, starring Dwayne The
Rock Johnson). The Hollywood Reporter has the news, saying that McIntyre's
character is a trusted friend of Kellan Lutz's Hercules.

Hercules 3D is one of two dueling Hercules films set to hit
theaters in 2014. The Brett Ratner-directed Hercules will star Dwayne Johnson
and arrives on the big screen July 25, 2014. Hercules 3D is said to be aiming
for a March release.
Hercules 3D features a screenplay by Sean Hood and Hanna
Weg.
