THE WOLVERINE & STAR TREK 2

  • WOLVERINE’S SWAN SONG . . .NOT YET

Hugh Jackman - The Wolverine
Well after hearing the news that director Darren Aronofsly (Black Swan, The Wrestler), pulled out the Wolverine film, which was disappointing news for the films star, Hugh Jackman, as well as the studio and all us fans. We were actually very excited to see what this talented director would do with the wolverine franchise.

However, this doesn’t mean that Wolverine’s film will not happen, as Hugh Jackman himself pointed out when he spoke with Entertainment Weekly at Cinema Con in Las Vegas about his commitment to finish this Spin-off, Prequel, and Sequel film.

"So now we're out looking for a director," said Jackman. "We were pretty much ready to go. The script is fantastic — the best we've ever had, which is why it attracted Darren in the first place. His personal situation precludes him from doing it now, and I feel for him. But now we need to find a director."

Jackman vowed that he and the studio are "not going to settle. We're going to find a director as good as Darren, if not better. Well, as good." He stressed that everyone remains committed to making the movie happen ... someday.

Chris Pine
  • STAR TREK 2

Paramount has pushed back its plans of shooting Moscow. Moscow will see the re-launch of Jack Ryan, a Tom Clancy creation that stars Chris Pine.  The reason for this is so that, they go ahead with Star Trek 2, also starring Pine, on the fast track to start shooting in September.

Another reason why Moscow is getting pushed back, is because, the film has recently had script delays as the Jack Ryan Reboot screenwriter has pulled out in the past few weeks.

Deadline reports that the Trek sequel will begin filming in September in order to make its previously announced June 29, 2012 release date.

Paramount is still waiting for J.J. Abrams to decide whether or not he'll return to direct Trek 2.
