Patty Jenkins (Director of Monster the Charlize Theron Oscar
winning film) is in talks to headline the mighty avenger THOR’s next adventure.
The director has shed some light on her thoughts about the film.

She was asked on Monday if Thor 2 was the next film on her
slate. "I can't say, but yes," she said laughing. "I can't say
anything definitive, but it's exciting to be in talks with them about it."

She added that she knows she's an unusual choice for the
project. "I think Marvel is really ballsy to think outside the box. And I
think everyone they've talked to and hired has been interesting."
The LA Times caught up with the film's leading man, Chris
Hemsworth, and learned that he's got some favorable things to say about
Jenkins.
She has a great take on the story and a solid grasp on that
kind of universe,” says Hemsworth, "...Branagh read every comic book he
could get his hands on. She also looked like she had done her homework.”
