Clifton Collins Jr. has come aboard Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim at Legendary Pictures. He joins a cast that includes Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Charlie Day, Rinko Kikuchi, Max Martini, Willem Dafoe and Robert Kazinsky.

The film, is said to be a variation on the Japanese Kaiju genre (giant monsters) and the plot sees a future Earth defending itself from attacking creatures through the use of enormous mechanized robots.
Warner Bros. Pictures has scheduled a July 12, 2013 release for Pacific Rim.
