According to The Daily Mail, McCrory will play an unspecified role in the film. This will mark her fourth time working with Bond star Daniel Craig, following Hotel Splendide, Enduring Love and Flashbacks of a Fool.
Meanwhile, the paper claims to have confirmed rumors that French model-actress Berenice Marlohe has won the role of the next Bond Girl in the Sam Mendes-directed sequel.
Also reportedly confirmed is Layer Cake and Perfume actor Ben Whishaw in an unspecified role, while the Mail adds that Quantum of Solace's Rory Kinnear will reprise his role as MI6's Chief of Staff, Bill Tanner.
Naomie Harris is also said to be set as the new Miss Moneypenny. Ditto Javier Bardem as the villain and Ralph Fiennes in an ultra-secret role.
Bond 23 will reportedly see 007 going home.
The BBC spoke to Patricia Malcolm, who lives in Duntrune Castle in Scotland. She says the filmmakers will use the exterior of the castle over the course of several days during a late February 2012 shoot.
They will also bring in snow since it's meant to be a winter scene set during the end portion of the film. But here's the SPOILERISH part of what she revealed.
"I think it is meant to be James Bond's ancestral home - he will bring all the villains here," said Malcolm. "I believe it's mostly being filmed in China and Turkey."
"It looks as if they are going to construct the set and then blow it up," she added. "I think they are going to attack the castle from land and sea - there are going to a lot of bangs and explosions."
