- THOR 2's GAMES OF THRONES
Two TV veterans are reportedly on Marvel's shortlist to
replace Patty Jenkins in the director's chair of Thor 2.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO staples Alan Taylor
and Daniel Minahan are being eyed to replace Patty Jenkins at the helm of the
Thor sequel.
Both Taylor and Minahan have directed episodes of HBO's
gritty fantasy series Game of Thrones, so that's certainly a good omen for Thor
2. Taylor's other credits include episodes of Mad Men, The Sopranos and
Boardwalk Empire, while Minahan's credits include True Blood and Deadwood.
Furthermore, THR says new screenwriters are being considered
to rewrite the project. They include John Collee (Master and Commander: Far
Side of the World), Robert Rodat (Saving Private Ryan) and Oscar winner Roger Avary
(Pulp Fiction).
