The Lone Ranger has managed to get a bandit, a hooker and a cavalryman.
Variety reports that Helena Bonham Carter will play a frontier brothel madam in the Gore Verbinski-directed Western. Country singer-actor Dwight Yoakam (Panic Room, Crank) will play the film's villain, outlaw gang leader Butch Cavendish whose attack on the Texas Rangers plays a key part in the Lone Ranger's origin.
True Grit's Barry Pepper will also saddle up for the pic, having been cast as "Captain J. Fuller, the leader of the seventh cavalry."
The Lone Ranger, starring Armie Hammer in the title role and Johnny Depp as Tonto, aims to start filming this fall for a December 21, 2012 release.
