- DEAD WINTER
True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld is attached to star in a new
thriller called Dead of Winter. Music Video and commercial director Anthony
Mandler will be developing the feature film from a Black List script written by
Sarah Conradt.
Steinfeld will play "a teen who heads to a remote cabin
in the mountains with her father and new stepmother -- an experience he hopes
will bring the two ladies closer together. When a dangerous fugitive posing as
a park ranger shows up, the trio must put aside the family bonding to fight for
survival."
Steinfeld is a very talented young actress who just wrapped
filming on Ender's Game and Romeo and Juliet. As for Mandler, he's directed
music videos for Rihanna, Jay-Z and Eminem. This will be his first feature
film.
