Walt Disney Pictures has now reportedly hired The Hunger
Games director Gary Ross to helm a feature film adaptation of Dave Barry and
Ridley Pierson's bestselling children's book, Peter and the Starcatchers.

Recently adapted into a Broadway show, Peter and the
Starcatchers received nine Tony Award nominations. The film version will
feature a screenplay by Jesse Wigutow (It Runs in the Family).
The book tells the backstory of the iconic Peter Pan
character with Barry and Pierson already working on a series of books set in
the same word.
