Here is an interesting rumor, Walt Disney Pictures might be
planning to reboot their 1991 comic book adaptation The Rocketeer.

While there nobody is attached to the project just as yet,
the studio is listening to different pitches from writers, directors and
producers to decide on what is the appropriate direction for the new feature.
At this time, however, there is no confirmation from the studio that such a
project is underway.
I for one think that maybe the best way to do it, is give it
the same feel as Kerry Conran’s SkyCaptain and the World of Tomorrow!
Created by Dave Stevens in 1982, Rocketeer was first
published by Pacific Comics. Set in 1938, the story follows stunt pilot Cliff
Secord who comes into possession of an experimental jetpack that allows him to
take his fight for justice to the skies.
The original film starred Billy Campbell, Jennifer Connelly,
Alan Arkin and Timothy Dalton and, while much loved by fans today, failed to
live up to studio expectations at the box office.
