Ridley Scott's Prometheus has packed up its gear and relocated from England to Iceland's Hekla volcano.

The director says shooting there will consist of 15 minutes of screen time in his Alien prequel. "We are shooting the beginning of time," he said. The shooting is expected to last for two weeks there. We'll let you speculate how it fits into the film.

Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba and Guy Pearce star.

Fox, which opens the film on June 8, 2012, describes the film this way: Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define, creating an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. The film takes a team of scientists and explores on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery.
