MISS STEVENS (Page to Direct)

  • MISS STEVENS

Ellen Page will soon reprise her role ass Kitty Pride in X-Men Days of Future Past, however it would seem she would still have enough time to make her directorial debut with Miss Stevens.

Written by Julia Hart (The Keeping Room), Miss Stevens will star Anna Faris (The House Bunny) in the title role.  The picture centers on the titular drama teacher whose life has hit a bit of a rough patch, but who rediscovers herself worth, while chaperoning a group of high school students over a weekend trip to the state drama competition.

Faris, who most recently starred in the ensemble comedy Movie 43, will next star in writer/director Dan Mazer’s I Give It a Year, followed by voice work in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.  Faris will also transition onto the small screen in the Chuck Lorre-produced CBS pilot Mom, in which she will play a sober single mom who attempts to turn her life around in the Napa Valley
