UNDERWORLD 4, BOURNE 4 & THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

  • UNDERWORLD 4 in 3D

Production is underway in Vancouver, British Columbia, on the 4th installment in the highly successful Screen Gems/Lakeshore Entertainment Underworld franchise.

Kate Beckinsale as Selene in Underworld
Underworld 4 will be bringing a whole new dimension the vampire & lycans franchise, by being the first film in the franchise to be shot in 3D.

Kate Beckinsale, star of the first two films, returns in her lead role as the vampire warrioress Selene, who escapes imprisonment to find her in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampire and Lycan clans, and are conducting an all-out war to eradicate both immortal species.

India Eisley (The Secret Life of an American Teenager) plays Eve, and Michael Ealy (Barbershop, 2Fast 2Furious, Takers) plays Detective Sebastian.

Underworld 4 will be directed by Swedish duo, Mans Marlind & Bjorn Stein, who co-directed the 2009 thriller Shelter starring Julianne Moore and Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Their feature credits also include the award-winning Swedish film Storm.

  • AVENGERS’ BOURNE

The film will be a sequel, but will also be seen as a reboot, as we will see a new actor that will play a new title character and not take over from Matt Damon’s, Jason Bourne.
Jeremy Renner

So No Matt Damon, No Jason Bourne… but the new storyline will link Bourne’s story to this new film.

Now for a while we have been hearing rumblings of potential candidates for the role. Taylor Kitsch (Wolverine Origins – Gambit) & Shia LeBouf (Transformers – Sam) were believed to be the front-runners for the role in the film. However, we have learned that Jeremy Renner, who you will see soon as Hawkeye in the upcoming Avengers film, will be offered the role.
We don’t have any complaints, Mr. Renner has proven himself as a superb actor and if he is to be the next “Bourne” then we believe he has what it takes to do it.

  • GOTHAM’S NEW HOME

Looks like The Dark Knight Rises will not be shooting in Gotham’s home, Chicago, after all!! Instead seems that the Dark Knight Rises will have a new Gotham in Pittsburgh.
TDKR director Christopher Nolan said, "Pittsburgh is a beautiful city. ... We have been able to find everything we were looking for here, and I am excited to spend the summer in Pittsburgh with our final installment of Batman."

Meanwhile, Nolan is rumored to have scouted Kedleston Hall, a lavish mansion from the 1760s located in Derbyshire, England. Could this be the new Wayne Manor? We shall see.
This was Designed by a Fan - Not the Real poster for TDKR, but its AWESOME

The Dark Knight Rises begins filming in May.
