SUPERMAN: THE MAN OF STEEL & AMERICAN PIE 4

  • ZOD’S EMPIRE

(Michael Shannon (left) Terence Stamp (Right)) ZOD
Superman: The Man of Steel seems to be getting closer and closer into wrapping up casting for the main roles in the film as Superman finally found its villain. Michael Shannon (BoardWalk Empire – TV series) will be playing the antagonist of the story General ZOD!! The last time General Zod was on the big screen, Terence Stamp was cast to play him in Superman II.

Michael Shannon
Snyder stated, "Zod is not only one of Superman's most formidable enemies, but one of the most significant because he has insights into Superman that others don't. Michael is a powerful actor who can project both the intelligence and the malice of the character, making him perfect for the role."

There is still no word on, who will be playing Lex Luthor, and we not even sure of his capacity in the film… Lex might not even appear at all!! If he does, he might have a slightly less screen time, as Zod will be the main villain for the film.

As General Zod, Shannon will face-off with Henry Cavill, who plays the new Clark Kent/Superman in the film. The main cast also includes Amy Adams as Lois Lane, and Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as Martha and Jonathan Kent.

  • THE FLUTE IS BACK IN AMERICAN PIE!!

Alyson as Michelle with FLUTE
Alyson Hannigan will be returning to the American Pie series as the flute-enjoying Michelle Flaherty, joining several of her costars from the original film.

Alyson Flaherty - Now
Other cast members that will be returning to AMERICAN REUNION, which will also feature Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott and Eugene Levy.
Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Chris Klein, Mena Suvari and Jennifer Coolidge have been reported to be in negotiations to return.

A source reports,  "Hannigan was the question mark among the original cast when stories about the sequel began popping up. She had the leverage for a nice piece of the pie because the story revolves around her marriage and child with Jason Biggs' character."
No word yet on whether or not the flute will also return.
