SUPERMAN: MAN OF STEEL & ODD THOMAS

  • STAR WARS KRYPTON

Well there was a lot of speculation surrounding whether or not Superman’s origins will feature in the new film because of the ongoing rights lawsuit with the creators' heirs, however seems that the film will feature Supe’s Roots after all.

Krypton
Diane Lane (Martha Kent) was the first to confirm this, as she revealed that the script she read "does cover the entire range of years, from infancy on."

Now, Latino Review claims that Superman's biological parents Jor-El and Lara will be in the film, and that Krypton will look more like Star Wars' Coruscant than the ice planet of the original films. They add that the Kryptonian villainess of the movie will be Faora instead of Ursa (although she has been known by that).  However, you must realize that, this is still speculation so we will just wait and see if this information is true.

Faora has appeared on Smallville as General Zod's wife, but that is just one of multiple incarnations of the character. She's also a soldier and the mother of Doomsday.

  •  G.I.’s ODD THOMAS

Comedian-actor-writer Patton Oswalt (The King of Queens, Observe & Report) has joined the cast of Odd Thomas, Fusion Films' adaptation of the Dean Koontz novel. Stephen Sommers will direct the film. Sommers directed G.I Joe, but was replaced by Jon Chu (Step Up 3d, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never), who will work on the next G.I. Joe film that will act as a reboot sequel.

Our source reports that Oswalt, currently seen on Showtime's United States of Tara, will play "Oswald 'Ozzie' P. Boone, an eccentric artist who designs sculptures, including a steel pendant that the titular clairvoyant hero wears around his neck."
