GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY (Speculating)

  • GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

Guardians of the Galaxy
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has talked about a big screen adaptation of Guardians of the Galaxy a few times over the last year, bringing it up often in interviews. It would be clear that Feige really wants to get a Guardians of the Galaxy film up and running, and now it seems that Marvel has taken their first steps to making it a reality.

According to Bleeding Cool the studio “Marvel has filed eleven new trademark applications for Guardians of the Galaxy that includes a wide variety of products like jewelry, drinks, food, furniture, cosmetics, computer games, fabrics, paper goods, entertainment, internet services, and retail store services.”

This is normal practice for any studio preparing to bring out a film, as merchandising is an important part of the films franchise. Now this certainly doesn’t confirm that GotG is in development, but it does show that Marvel are planning to go all out Sci-fi sometime in future. Whether it will happen in the not to distant future, or a few years down the line remains to be seen.
