Ryan Reynolds has been cast as Connor MacLeod in the
forthcoming reboot of the Highlander franchise, IGN reports.

According to The Tracking Board - who broke the story -
Reynolds has been in negotiations for the last month to play the immortal, who
was a sword-happy Scot in the original.
Reynolds character is described as, a Highlander who
discovers he is one of a dwindling group of immortals who wander the earth and
kill each other in combat for the final “Prize” – immortality.
No word if Ryan will be going in with a Scottish accent,
although since the film is early in development, we don’t know that much about
the film.
