Director Sofia Coppola has just recruited Emma Watson to star in her new film The Bling Ring, based on the true story of a group of teenagers who commit a series of celebrity burglaries.

Although Watson has said she wants to shift her focus to school for now, the young actress has still managed to work in several indie projects post-Harry Potter. She recently appeared in the Weinstein's My Week With Marilyn and just wrapped on Fox Searchlight's The Perks of Being a Wallflower. She was also recently cast in David Yates' Your Voice in My Head back at Warner Bros.

Coppola will write and direct the film, as well as produce with her brother Roman Coppola and Youree Henley
