X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST (Cast Rumour)

  • X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

The Beautiful Famke Janssen
Recently Patrick Stewart teased that he might be returning to the X-Men franchise as Professor X! Now it seems that there is another X-Men Alum that just might be making a triumphant return to the franchise.

Famke Janssen, who played the incredibly powerful Jean Grey and even stronger Phoenix, responded coyly when asked by MTV if there was a possibility she'd return to the role.

Upon being asked if she had been offered a role in the upcoming sequel to X-Men: First Class, she replied, "One never knows. Jean Grey, the Phoenix … she finds a way to reincarnate herself constantly, so one never knows."

Though this is far from confirming her involvement, Janssen also wouldn't deny that she would appear in the sequel, titled X-Men: Days of Future Past. She asserted that she was "in no position to say anything," before adding, "Stay tuned."

Janssen as Phoenix in that forgotten X-Men Film
Seeing as the storyline for Days of Future Past revolves around time-travel, with an older Kitty Pryde transferring her mind back to her younger, present day self to prevent a pivotal moment in history, it's entirely possible both Stewart and Janssen will indeed reprise their roles in the film.

The reason we entertaining this rumour, is that Janssen and Stewart both have not denied or confirmed their involvement in the next installment of the X-Men franchise. Which means that they have been talking to someone at FOX about the next installment!

Because, if they never then they would have probably shot down the question with a firm “no” or more appropriate “I havent heard anything about that, I would love to return as that character in future”. These are normally the basic answers a actor will give you when they don’t know anything about the project.

It certainly seems that Janssen and Stewart know a little something about X-Men: Days of Future Past, so we thinking we might just end up seeing them back on the big screen!

We will just have to wait and see as X-Men: Days of Future Past will go into production early next year, with a 2014 release date set.
