Dwayne Johnson is set to headline Lore, an adaptation of the
IDW comic book series. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news, adding that
Warner Bros. is developing the property with a script by Cory Goodman and
Jeremy Lott.
Written and illustrated by husband and wife team Ashley Wood
and T.P. Louise, the 2004 comic book is officially described as follows:
In times past, the world was full of mythical creatures long
since held at bay by the secret society of Shepherds. But when the Shepherds'
line of succession is broken, a reluctant hero finds her life threatened from
every quarter. And the creatures are coming back: will the Earth be ready for
their return?
