- THE SMURFS 2
The Smurfs 2 has found a new cast member in Christina Ricci,
who will voice an evil version of Smurfette named Vexi, according to a story at
The Hollywood Reporter.
Though no official announcements have been made, the full
cast of the the 2011 original is expected to return, including Neil Patrick
Harris, Jayma Mays, Katy Perry and George Lopez. Raja Gosnell will return as
director.
Ricci, who started her career with family-friendly fare like
The Addams Family and Casper, can soon be seen on the big screen in Bel Ami,
opposite Robert Pattinson and Uma Thurman. The Smurfs looks to go into
production soon.
The Smurfs 2 is set for release on July 31, 2013.
