MONOPOLY (In Development)

  • MONOPOLY

, Ridley Scott's Monopoly continues to further its development. In fact, apart from being dropped by Universal last month, it's business as usual for the board game adaptation.

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Hasbro and Scott have now hired writers Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski to pen the script.

The duo is best known for their work on Tim Burton's Ed Wood, Jim Carrey's Man on the Moon, and, more recently, the adaptation of Stephen King's 1408.

Other projects that were dropped from the Hasbro/Universal movie deal include McG's Ouija and Gore Verbinski's Clue. However, like Monopoly, both films are still in active development.
