Gillian Anderson has been discussing the prospect of a third
X-Files film, telling an Australian breakfast show "I hope it will happen,
there's talk of it."
Anderson is in Sydney for the premiere of her latest flick
Johnny English Reborn, and told Sunrise (which we found by way of The Hollywood
Reporter) that The X-Files 3 is more than just a pipe-dream, claiming "I
don't know who's writing it, but I hear there's something going on."
Anderson also revealed that she'd like to flex her funny
bones in the sci-fi universe, stating "I've always wanted to do a spoof of
the X-Files as a film. We talked about that for a long time but maybe after
three features we could get to do a spoof feature."
