Kate Beckinsale and Nick Nolte are set to star in the drama
The Trials of Cate McCall.
Karen Moncrieff is set to direct from a script that she
wrote, while Beckinsale stars as “a former hotshot prosecutor who threw her
career away when she became an addict. Hoping to regain credibility and win
custody of her estranged daughter, the lawyer takes on the appeal of a wrongly
convicted murderess. She battles crooked cops, a broken system, and her own
demons.”
James Cromwell is also set to star in a supporting role.
Beckinsale will next be seen later this year opposite Colin
Farrell and Jessica Biel in the remake of Total Recall. Nolte stars in the upcoming AWESOME crime pic
