After a long and tedious search for a suitable Die Hard 5 director, 20th Century Fox and Bruce Willis have finally chosen John Moore (Max Payne, The Omen) to head up the next installment of the franchise.

Deadline provides the scoop on Moore, who was reportedly selected for his prowess in shooting practically versus CGI -- this was a big draw for Willis in particular -- and ,of course, for his undying love for the John McClane character. The film will shoot in Russia and will hopefully wrap up in time for Willis to begin production on Red 2.

The only question remaining now is who directs Red 2? With Robert Schwentke committed to R.I.P.D., Willis finds himself in a similar hunt, this time with Summit, to nail down a director who can cover for Schwentke. Breck Eisner is one of the names being tossed around, but there are several others who could just as easily land the gig.
