Tom Cruise is eyeing an original science fiction project
called Our Name is Adam, Variety reports. There are no details on the plot as
of yet, but the script arrives from T.S. Nowlin, best known for writing Agent
13, currently in development at Universal Pictures with Rupert Wyatt lined up
to direct and Charlize Theron attached to star.
Mary Parent (Role Models, Pleasantville) will produce. She's
currently working in the genre with Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim.
Cruis is currently attached to a Magnificent Seven remake, a
Van Helsing reboot, Mission Impossible 5 and possibly Top Gun 2 (although with
the late creator and director Tony Scott’s passing, theres no word on if the
film will move forward or not). So it will be interesting to see if he can
squeeze another film in.
