- TRANSFORMERS 4
Although details are decidedly few, Spoiler TV is reporting
that Michael Bay's Transformers 4 could feature a female protagonist.
Transformers 4 to have female lead |
According to the site, a search is now underway for an
actress to play the leading role of a high school senior. Also being cast, they
say, is the character's boyfriend, a Texan racecar driver.
So the plot of the film will most likely be about a girl who
has a car, which just so happens to be a transforming robot, who will soon find
out that the Decepticons have left a device on earth several years prior which
could be used to restore Cybertron. Mmmm now doesn’t that sound like all three
Transformers film?
Bay recently spoke about the project, now in development for
a June 27, 2014 release, suggesting that this is likely the final Transformers
adventure with him at the helm (we can only hope!). Ehren Kruger is providing
the screenplay, which is rumored to take the storyline into outer space with a
brand new cast of both humans and robots.
Bay's next project, Pain & Gain is a bit more down to
earth, starring Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson as a pair of bodybuilders who,
in a true story, take to a life of crime.
That film is scheduled for release on April 26, 2013.
