Clark Gregg is set to write and direct Trust Me with Unified
Pictures, Savage Bunny and Bron Studios producing.

The film is said to be a dark comedy about the sordid world
of child stars and the obsession with stardom. The story follows a loser agent
for young actors — and a washed-up child star himself — who stumbles upon a
brilliant 13-year-old prodigy (to be played by newcomer Saxon Sharbino) and
then tries to close the mega-deal that will make her a star while managing her
drunk volatile father, the poaching attempts of a more successful nemesis and a
growing awareness that his innocent young starlet may not be at all what she
seems.
Gregg, best known for his role as Agent Coulson in Marvel's
The Avengers, is also an experienced director whose first feature, Choke, hit
theaters in 2008.
The cast includes Amanda Peet (Please Give, Syriana), Paul
Sparks ("Boardwalk Empire," Rachel Getting Married), Felicity Huffman
(Transamerica, Phoebe in Wonderland), Allison Janney (The Help, Juno), William
H. Macy (The Sessions, Fargo), Molly Shannon ("SNL," Year of the
Dog), Niecy Nash ("Reno 911") and Sam Rockwell (Seven Psychopaths,
Moon).
Principal photography began in Los Angeles on September 26.
