- PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS: THE SEA MONSTERS
Castle and Firefly star Nathan Fillion has just been confirmed to play the Greek deity Hermes in Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Sea of Monsters, based on the second book from Rick Riordan's best-selling series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fillion's Hermes is the father of antagonist Luke, who is played by Jake Abel in the films. Logan Lerman is returning as Percy along with Alexandra Daddario and Brandon T. Jackson, who will also be resuming their roles.
Thor Freudenthal is directing the pic, with the first film's director Chris Columbus producing. The Sea of Monsters is currently slated for a 2013 release.
