Melrose Place star Heather Locklear has joined the cast of
Scary Movie 5, playing the mother of Ashley Tisdale's character in the film.
Locklear's character is said to echo the mom role portrayed
by Barbara Hershey in Black Swan. Deadline also reports that SNL veteran Molly
Shannon will play the Winona Rider character, and that Private Practice's Kate
Walsh will appear as well.
The actresses join director Malcolm Lee, who will be working
alongside David Zucker (Airplane, The Naked Gun). Zucker wrote Scary Movie 3
and 4 and is also co-writing and producing this latest installment.
Scary Movie 5 hits theaters on January 11, 2013.
