Chris Pine was recently asked about the newest installment
in the Star Trek franchise, obviously he couldn’t give out any details but he
did some have some insight to share on the project.:
"We're not making Batman. That's not our deal,"
Pine recently told Total Film.
Pine added that, as with the first film, there will be
comedy as well as some "serious issues" to deal with in his next
outing as Kirk.
"And I'd say the threat is even greater in this
one," continued the actor. "The force [the Enterprise crew] are met
with is much more frightening. It's relentlessly action-packed and in terms of
character development it goes places you'd never expect. The arc is huge for
all the characters. It's a really big story -- I can't hype it enough!"
Star Trek 2 will be releasing next year.
