- X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURES PAST
Fan-Made Banner |
Ever since the release of the awful, X-Men: Last Stand we
have been hearing about a potential fourth X-Men film. Now we might have got a
lousy X-Men: Wolverine Origins film and then a brilliant prequel, X-Men: First
Class film, but this rumour still persisted.
Patrick Stewart as Prof. X |
Now we know that the next X-Men film will be entitled,
X-Men: Days of Future’s Past, which will incorporate a time traveling element
into the franchise, something that has got a lot of fans excited as fans have
speculated that maybe, just maybe, this could be an amalgamation of the
original X-Men Trilogy, as well as X-Men: First Class in this new film.
Patrick Stewart, who played Professor X in the original
X-Men trilogy, recently attended the 2012 Montreal Comic Convention, where a
fan asked him about returning to the series and he replied, "I think there
is every possibility… Halle Berry! Famke Janssen! Rebecca Stamos! Anna
Paquin!" Stewart then said, "Yes, I'll be reprising..."
Now whether Stewart is simple pulling our leg, remains to be
seen as nothing was confirmed as yet. However seeing that X-Men 1 and 2
Director and First Class Producer, Bryan Singer spoke a while back about a
potential cross over and said, “I think
there’s a strong desire to broaden out the universe. The X-Men universe on its own is every bit as
big as the Marvel universe and I think it’s time to reach out and explore it
and perhaps even bring some connectivity between the films, as Marvel’s done so
well. You may see some of that, I don’t
know.”
So taking into account Singer’s statement, it just might be
that by X-Men: Days of Future Past will feature some of the original cast
members as well as the First Class. But for now, we will just have to wait and
see.
X-Men: Days of Future’s Past will be releasing in cinemas
sometime in 2014 with principal photography starting in January/February 2013.
