ANT-MAN (In Development)

  • ANT-MAN

It's been years since Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish first began drafting duties on a feature film version of Marvel Comics' Ant-Man, they were actually given the fo ahead on the project back when the Incredible Hulk and Iron Man was in development. Since, then the Internet has spitting out rumors of possible release dates of Marvels smallest hero, who has yet to make it to the big screen.

Ewan McGregor as Ant-man starring at his creation Ultron... Awesome FAN ART!!
Recently, The Hollywood Reporter brings some strong encouragement, revealing that Wright has completed work on a test reel designed to help get the film the green light.
It would seem that if Marvel is glad with what they see, they will green light the film, allowing it to go into production.

"The idea that we have for the adaptation is to actually involve both... Henry Pym and Scott Lang," Wright told SuperHeroHype some years ago. "So you actually do a prologue where you see Pym as Ant-Man in action in the 60's, in sort of 'Tales to Astonish' mode basically, and then the contemporary, sort of flash-forward, is Scott Lang's story, and how he comes to acquire the suit, how he crosses paths with Henry Pym, and then, in an interesting sort of Machiavellian way, teams up with him."

Its expected that there has been many changes to the script since then, as Henry Pym plays a substantial role in the Avengers mythos. Whether or not it will feature both Henry Pym and Scott Lang remains to be seen.

But a more pressing issue is who was playing the role of Ant-man for the test reel? Was it the future Ant-man? Or just some stunt guy? CLICK HERE FOR OUR ANT-MAN PICKS
