ELYSIUM (Comic-Con)

  • ELYSIUM (Comic-Con)

Neil Blomkamp's Elysium has a major presence at the Sony Pictures booth, with comingsoon.net brining us more pictures from Comic Con this time around.

Using an cheerful, automated "Border Station" booth-within-a-booth, the Armadyne corporation greets con-goers to distribute the flyer that you can see below, offering "low price" housing on the company's space station.

Taking place in the year 2159, Elysium shows that two classes of people exist: the very wealthy who live on a pristine man-made space station, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Secretary Rhodes (Jodie Foster), a hard line government official will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium. That doesn't stop the people of Earth from trying to get in, by any means they can. When unlucky Max (Matt Damon) is backed into a corner, he agrees to take on a daunting mission that if successful will not only save his life, but could bring equality to these polarized worlds.

Although the flyer reveals a new URL, www.itsbetterupthere.com, it currently just redirects to last year's Armadyne site. Check back for updates, though, as they become available.

Elysium hits theaters on March 1, 2013.
