Previously known for starring as Carmen Cortez in Robert
Rodriguez's original Spy Kids trilogy, Alexa Vega made headlines last month
after releasing an image of her decidedly more adult role in the director's
upcoming Machete Kills.

The Hollywood Reporter spoke with the star and got a bit
more information about her role in the film as KillJoy.
"The first time I walked out in my outfit on set,"
Vega says, "everyone was like, 'Wow, you're not allowed to wear
that!'"
Her character said to be "the bodyguard of a whore
house,” so its quite clear that Vega is definitely shedding her childhood status
in order to be taken seriously as an actress, and after seeing that pic, it
would seem that she will be doing that rather successfully.
Vega joins Danny Trejo, Mel Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez,
Demian Bichir, Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara, Zoe Saldana, Charlie Sheen, Lady
Gaga and Vanessa Hudgens in the 20th Century Fox film.
In the sequel, ex-federale Machete (Trejo) is recruited by
the U.S. government to stop an arms dealer (Gibson) from launching a deadly
missile.
