Jonah Hill is joining Leonardo DiCaprio in director Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street, based on Jordan Belfort's best-selling memoir.

 Terence Winter (“The Sopranos,” “Boardwalk Empire”) adapted the screenplay, which chronicles Jordan Belfort’s (DiCaprio) dramatic rise and fall on Wall Street, along with his hard-partying lifestyle and tumultuous personal life, which included drug and alcohol addiction.

Hill (Moneyball) will play Danny Porush, who is convinced by his future best friend and business partner Belfort to quit his job in furniture sales and enter the lucrative yet volatile world of stock brokering.

Production on The Wolf of Wall Street is slated to begin in August in New York.
