Amber Heard and Demian Bichir are joining Danny Trejo,
Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez and Mel Gibson in sequel Machete Kills, to be
distributed by Twentieth Century Fox, reports Variety.

The trade says that in the follow-up, "ex-federale
(Trejo) is recruited by the U.S. government to stop an arms dealer (Gibson)
from launching a deadly missile. Heard will play a manipulative assassin
code-named Miss San Antonio."
Bichir's role in the movie is being kept under wraps for
now.
Sofia Vergara ("Modern Family," The Smurfs) is in
talks to join the cast of Robert Rodriguez's Machete Kills.
Variety says that Vergara is in talks to play the
leather-clad Madame Desdemona, whose Mexican harlots have information that
Machete needs.
