- THE COUP
Pierce Brosnan has joined the cast of The Coup, Crime Scene
Pictures has just confirmed. He'll star opposite the previously-attached Owen
Wilson.
John Erick Dowdle (Devil, Quarantine) is directing from a
script he co-wrote with his brother Drew Dowdle.
The Coup is a thriller centered on an American family that
moves to Southeast Asia and finds themselves entangled in a violent coup where
merciless rebels are attacking the city.
Steve Alexander said: "Having Pierce step into the role
of a mysterious and ultimately heroic government operative is the perfect
compliment to Owen's everyman dilemma. We're thrilled to have him on
board."
