Tom Hiddleston as Loki fan art |
- THOR 2 LOKI 0
The ever
charming Loki himself, Tom Hiddleston managed to get himself to Empire to do a
webchat with some or there lucky subscribers, but before that could begin, The
Thor & Avenger star spoke a little abit with the guys at Empire and he gave
them some interesting details for the forthcoming Thor 2 film.
He told them
where and when it will be shooting and some interesting tid bits like, whether
it'll feature a battered and bruised (but still unbowed) Loki or a
peace-making-brother-to-Thor Loki remains to be seen.
i-ship-that says: "Hi Tom. What can you tell us about Thor 2? Also, as much as I love
The Avengers, I'm team Loki just for you. So where can I sign to join your
army?"
"Last
question first: I have no idea. And without revealing too much, there's a
specific skill set you need to be in Loki's army - let me know if you have the
qualifications. And all I know about Thor 2 is that we're supposed to film it
in London in the summer and that it is being directed by Alan Taylor."
Thor gets in Loki's Face |
For those
not in the know, Alan Taylor is the man only recently announced as a the
sequel's director, is a somewhat controversial choice for the director's chair
for some camps. Having only previously worked on TV shows like The Sopranos,
Lost, Deadwood, Game Of Thrones and The West Wing, he's relatively unknown
amongst film fans... but with a CV like that; you can't help but be intrigued.
When he was
asked about what kind of Loki we'll see in Thor 2, Mr. Hiddleston refused to spill too many beans:
"I
don't want to spoil anything here. Loki's eternal predilection is to dance on
the fault lines of villainy and redemption. I think whatever happens to him,
he'll always keep people guessing."
Thor 2
definitely looks like it will be an incredible film and that it will be shot
over in England… Interesting?!
Thor 2 is pencilled in
for a 15 November 2013 release, The
Avengers a far more concrete 27 April of this year.
