Bill Murray

 Bill Murray has been on and off when it comes to his involvement in the Ghostbusters follow-up that Dan Akroyd has been trying to get into production for the last couple of years. A few months ago, Murray wasn’t interested at all, then he came onboard and now his completely off again!  Aykroyd gave an update on the third installment:

Q: Is Ghostbusters 3 finally happening?

Akroyd: Yes, we've got a brilliant new writer on it and we'll be passing the torch on to a new generation. We're working on it to make it just right to satisfy our fans. I'm confident we'll be in production in the next year.

Q: It's been a long process, hasn't it?

Akroyd: Yes, but now we've got the studio on side. We've tried a few concepts which weren't right but now we've got a good structure and will make it happen.

Q: Is Bill Murray doing it?

Akroyd: No, I can tell you he won't be involved.

Q: How do you feel about that?

Akroyd: It's sad but we're passing it on to a new generation. Ghostbusters 3 can be a successful movie without Bill. My preference would be to have him involved but at this point he doesn't seem to be coming and we have to move on. It's time to make the third one.

So now we know that Bill Murray is not going to be in the film, and that the film will be definitely be moving forward, who do you think should be in Ghostbusters 3?

Shia LeBeouf, Brandon T. Jackson, Jonah Hill and Emma Stone is my picks for Ghostbusters 3

I’m going for Shia LeBeouf, Jonah Hill, Brandon T. Jackson and Emma Stone! That’s pretty random but I think that could be awesome cast for this film and a future franchise.
