John Turturro shared some real cool interesting tidbits with The Hollywood Reporter in their video lounge at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The actor-director spoke about working with Woody Allen and revealed how he snagged the film legend for his upcoming comedy, Fading Gigolo.

“I’ve always been a fan of Woody’s,” Turturro tells THR. “I blabbed it to my barber, who cuts his hair.“

The men's mutual barber ended up telling Allen the premise of Fading Gigolo, which features Turturro as an aging male escort and Allen as his pimp. Allen apparently liked the idea and agreed to join the project.

You can watch the video below to hear all the interesting tidbits about how Woody Allen came on board and just how Turturro got inspired to do a project like this.

Fading Gigolo also stars Sharon Stone, Sofia Vergara and Vanessa Paradis. Turturro says the film should be ready in time for next year’s Venice and Toronto festivals.
