A MOST WANTED MAN (McAdams Speaks)

  • A MOST WANTED MAN

While chatting to EW during the Toronto International Film Festival, the always-delightful Rachel McAdams said she was extremely excited about shooting her upcoming thriller A Most Wanted Man soon in Hamburg, Germany.

Rachel McAdams
Directed by Anton Corbijn (The American), and costarring Philip Seymour Hoffman and Willem Defore, the movie is based on John le Carre’s 2008 novel about a Chechen former prisoner who arrives illegally in Germany.

McAdams will play German civil rights lawyer Annabel Richter in the film, which has the beautiful actress gushing over the prospect of shooting in Germany as well as work with Hoffman.

“It’s in Hamburg, which I’ve never been to before, and where the book is set,” said McAdams. “Philip Seymour is in it, whom I’m over the moon I get to meet and work with. She’s a great character, this German lawyer. She’s a big bike rider, so I’ll ride around the city a lot.”

“You get to sort dip into a whole new life for a couple of months,” she said. “You get to really sink into this person and understand what they might come from.”

A Most Wanted Man will begin filming very soon.
