Paramount is now on the search for a new female lead to star
opposite Chris Pine in the Kenneth Branagh-directed Jack Ryan reboot.
Deadline reports that the current frontrunner is Keira
Knightley, with Lost's Evangeline Lilly and Like Crazy's Felicity Jones still
on the short list. The role was initially offered to Total Recall co-stars Kate
Beckinsale and Jessica Beil, but both women passed on the project.
It would seem that the role could culminate into a three
picture deal for whoever takes it on, but that is just a little rumour that is
floating around.
The Jack Ryan reboot stars Pine in the title role alongside
Branagh, who will also play the film's villain.
